Tenneco Refinery Disposal Area

Promethean General Contractors was awarded this project based on expertise in heavy civil construction.

General scope of work:

• Rental of heavy equipment and trained operators to the US Army Corps of Engineers to perform maintenance and construction of the Tenneco Disposal Site in Pascagoula, MS.

• With the use of niche commercial equipment such as marsh buggies, long and short reach excavators and dozers, the Promethean team rehabbed the drainage structures, excavating and grading within the interior levee of the disposal area to drain all standing water to the existing weir boxes. 

• Grubbing dike slopes and tops, excavation of existing dikes, installing excavated material on existing levees

• Maintaining perimeter levee roads to facilitate the movement of heavy equipment

• Haul road construction including a ramp made of excavated material and stone for the disposal area

• Installation of geotextile fabric in upland disposal area

• Hauling installation of 60/40 sand/clay material
